In the case of pigs, production was 10.3 million tons, with an increase of 1.6%. In 2023, the expectation is to reach a volume of 20.8 million tons, a growth of 1% compared to 2022.
The market for pet food is booming! The production of food in the first half for dogs and cats was 1.91 million tons, an increase of 4.1% compared to the same period in 2022. The expectation is that by the end of this year, it will reach 4.0 million tons, a growth of 7.5%.
Sindirações emphasizes that, in the second half, a total production of more than 83 million tons of feeds and concentrates (excluding mineral salt) can be estimated, representing an advance of approximately 2% in 2023.
